    Currently being considered for:
    • Ends and middle sections above the roof line in cedar units.
    • Being considered as an option for cedar replacement that is a lower maintenance option than the current cedar on the cedar units.
    • Color would be consistent with the current colors that have been selected by the cedar courts.

    Concerns by homeowners:
    • Cedar homeowner decision and they should be involved with decision
    • When will options take place
    • Cedar is rotting on many homes, some cannot wait for a decision
    • What is underneath when removing cedar to do replacement of cedar plank
    • Pricing
    • Size of exposure – 5 inch, 6 inch, etc.

    Ideas from homeowners:
    • Voting options should be per court
    • Get quotes from contractors who attended demonstration to include:
      • Get price for horizontal layout versus current gable layout
      • Finish Cost
      • Give information to homeowners through handouts per home and the Rhondda Roster
      • The cost options to be provided in comparison for Hardi Plank vs. Vinyl Siding Option

    Information provided by contractors that attended demonstration:
    • The suggestion from the contractors is that we install the Hardi Plank or the Vinyl in a horizontal layout for the best weather protection. The current layout on the end units can be done, but is not
